Welcome

Our Home in Williamsburg, KY

Shielding Co. is proud to call Williamsburg, Kentucky home, serving both local clients and those across the region with control of what you see online. What started as a small side project became what helps the schools and towns and what you see online. Whether working with families, professionals, or businesses, Shielding Co. remains dedicated to building strong relationships that help clients pick what they want to see online.

Why is filtering Worth it?

Nobody signs up to see graphic images, harassment, or a wall of ads everytime they open a browser, but that is usually what happens. Shielding Co. sits between you and all of that. You pick the categories you would rather not run into, and our filter quietly removes them before the page finishes loading. Parents use it to make the family computer safer. People who just want an calmer feed use it, for the same reason. Either way, nothing gets blocked that you didn't ask us to block.

How the Shield Works

Every request your browser makes gets checked against our category list before the content comes back to you. Anything that matches a category you turned on is pulled off of what you are on. The whole page will continue to load normally. The whole check happens in a fraction of a second, so pages do not feel any slower than they did before. You can see exactly what was filtered in your dashboard, turn any category off whenever you want, and add your own sites onto the list if you want.
